Hi A.Nonymous. Thanks for advocating for taking animals to the vet- which I also support, agree with, and have done. In my family, three other animals (two 18 year old cats, and an elderly dog) have all been euthanized at the vet or by a home vet. Very humane and as a hospice worker, I feel that this experience is similar to death in hospice care- pain control and surrounded by loving family.

I try to write my essays showing my vulnerability as a human, not to glorify my actions. I like stories because they connect us together. I try to encourage courage and compassion through sharing my life stories (including less than proud moments) and pointing out how ridiculous and essential we all are to one another.
